If the opposite of Play is depression, yet most adults believe that the opposite of play is work, what does that say about our corporate culture in America today? Somehow along the way we were socialized to believe that work and play are not compatible!  At Play Storming we believe this is fundamentally wrong! In fact, Play begets creativity, innovation and imagination! All of which are competitive advantages! Who isn’t looking for a competitive advantage in today’s corporate environment?

Yes, it's true!

Yes, it’s true!

Our mission at Play Storming is to create a space for corporate play, to build a bridge between the boardroom and the playroom. Our corporate training workshops create a safe environment that allows people to take risks, to adapt to change, to unleash creativity and innovation that leads to the discovery of new opportunities and exciting possibilities. We cut our teeth in corporate America and in that process realized the need for corporate play.

Research has shown that adults retain learned skills and concepts better when their learning is anchored to an intense emotional state. In Play Storming, that emotional state is characterized by fun and laughter. Play gets a participant directly and intensively involved in their own learning processes in a way that crystallizes the experiences and helps participants integrate news skills into their everyday lives.

If you look closely at the culture of some of the most innovative and successful companies (e.g., Apple, Coca Cola, Google) you will find that play is part of the culture. If you’d like to know more about how you can bring more play to your corporate culture please contact us.
