Sales and Customer Service Training

Any successful salesperson will tell you: effective selling is all about the relationship. And as it turns out, creating profitable sales relationships requires the the very same skills as creating satisfying improvisational scenes: Building trust, listening actively and creating with what you hear, being flexible, and seeing and acting on the opportunity to make bold moves.

In sales terms, improvisation means being intentionally flexible on how to reach a goal. Knowing what your current state is, and where you want to be, is important, but which path you take will depend on the circumstances of the moment.

Participants should will be able to use the skills learned in a Play Storming workshop to do the following:

  • Listen actively and ask questions appropriately to encourage the customer to express needs and/or concerns.
  • Use proven techniques to diffuse customer anger.
  • Take initiative to delight and surprise customers.
  • Enhance ability to think and solve problems quickly, creatively, and positively.
  • Employ creative problem solving and innovation to achieve team goals.
  • Enhance their ability to think and solve problems quickly, creatively, and positively in support of team effectiveness.
